WALKING WITH DINOSAURS

A couple of weekends ago we took the kids to go see Walking with Dinosaurs in Phoenix. Melinda and I have been planning this for months for the kids and I'm so proud that we kept it a secret the whole time! It was pretty awesome the dinosaurs looked pretty real. We had great seats and the kids loved it. Taylore got a little scared when the T-Rex came out, but of course Avery loved it. I've got lots of pics cause there were a lot of dinos sorry.

If you guys have a chance to go to a performance of Walking with Dinosaurs you should take it. It was fun and reminded me of when we used to take the boys to see all the shows in Va & Pa. It was fun to see the look on Avery's face when they came out, he was amazed! It was a great weekend

Behind Again!

Well I'm behind again in my blogging. I'm going to just make one big post cause that's easier than a bunch of little ones!

Avery received an award in school. It's called The Student Recognition award. His music teacher recommended him for this award! His teacher said she appreciated Avery expressing his talent in music and that she was very proud of him and loves that he loves music. I thought that was pretty cool! They had a little ceremony for all the kids who received awards that month.Avery's team won their first game. They lost their next two, but they are a fairly new team. About 95% of the team has never played before so we are happy when they come off the field in one piece. A photographer from the other team took tons of pics and got several of Avery's back cause he is the nose guard. He's #15. He says he likes playing football more than soccer. Out here they have soccer and football the same time of year so Avery had to choose which one he wanted to play. So far he's happy with his decision. I know Avery is not running the ball, but if you look in the background my mom was very excited about the last minute winning touch down!

I've Been Tagged...

Here I go...Thanks Michele :)

My 3 joy: Spending time with my family, taking trips (whenever we get the chance), watching my kids growing up and discovering new things in life.

My 3 fears: Something happening to my family, loosing my job (cause there are no other hospitals here in town), not a big fan of feet.

My 3 current obsessions: Reading James Patterson books, blogging, having fun the the family.

My 3 surprising facts: I'm thinking about furthering my edu, want to go visit San Diego cause neither my husband nor I have been there and it's only 8 hours away, but the gas prices would kill us, I really miss Mondays when we used to go to the lake with the family and hang out all day.

My 3 tags: Gia, Toni, Melissa

Kisses for everyone!

So Taylore has learned to blow kisses. She'll do it when you are on the phone and ask for a kiss. She does it when she's across the room and you ask for a kiss. It's very cute of course!

Avery's Paying Football

So Avery had a choice this year to either play soccer or football because they run into each other with practice and games. So he chose football. Then he had another choice to make either tackle or flag. Of course he chose tackle. I don't have a pic with him in full gear yet, but it's coming. His team is the blue Colts and he has cheerleaders and all! His coach has been coaching for like 13 years and seems to be very good. Avery is among the small kids which is new for us. So we'll see how it goes!

Avery's First day of School

So I can't believe school started on Aug 5th this year. It's almost a whole week before last year. Avery is very excited to be in 2nd grade. He met his teacher the night before and seems to really like her. He's not in the same class as his best friend Eli, but he'll get to see him at lunch and recess. He's very excited to meet new people and see old friends from last year he didn't get to see over the summer. Taylore on the other hand was not happy to be leaving him in the classroom with out her. She goes to his room everyday looking for him and calling his name. It's cute!
