Happy Birthday Avery!!

So I can't believe that I have a 7 year old, but I do! Ever since Avery met Eli he's found a love for dinosaurs. So this year Avery wanted a dinosaur party. He said that it was the best party he ever had. I even got flowers for it!

We had it at the church because they have a really nice area with a pavilion and a grassy area, which is hard to find in Arizona. Brian got a jumping castle from his dealership.

I also bought some "dinosaur bones" and some plastic dinosaurs and buried them in the volleyball pit so they could have a Dino Dig. They really enjoyed that cause that gave them the chance to get down and dirty.

I also got a roll of craft paper and some paint and markers for Cave Painting. They liked this also. It gave them a break in the shade because it was in the cave (well underneath the pavilion)! Some of Avery's friends have younger siblings and that kept them busy too!

The cake turned out really cute. It was an 8" cake with 12 cupcakes around it. And of course the presents were a hit. I also made paper mache dinosaur eggs and the goodie bag. Instead of using a bag to put the goodies in I put them inside the eggs. It was a little time consuming, but that was a big hit with the kids! Of course we had a pinata too and Avery broke it!

We all had a great time. Of course we wish our cousins could have been there. Avery has made some really good friends since we've been here. He growing up so fast and he is a good little kid!

Father's Day and Baby News!

So I just found out on Wed that I'm pregnant! I'm guessing I'm about 4 weeks along. I waited until today to tell Brian cause that was part of his Father's Day gift. I wanted to get him a grill but I didn't know what kind to get so we had him open his presents and cards today so that we could go buy one. I wrote in the card that he is a great dad to our three kids. He looked at me with a suspicious smile and I nodded and asked if he was ready to do it again. He was very happy and got teary eyed. So that means the baby and Taylore are going to be 21 months apart YIKES! Anyway, I also wanted to say HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the men out there. I also hope that all our dads have a safe trip in Alaska and have a great time!

The Best Husband

I just wanted to publicly thank my husband. He sent me flowers yesterday at work. I was totally surprised. He said he was just thinking of me and wanted to let me know. He couldn't decide between yellow roses or sunflowers so he just sent me both. The card was also sweet! Everyone kept asking me what he did wrong...lol. I told them nothing he is just a great husband. I love him!

Brian's Priesthood

So I'm finally feeling a little better. This Sunday was a very important Sunday. Brian became an Elder! My dad did the blessing and it was so beautiful. We all cried and the spirit was so strong. Brian has come a long way and I'm so proud of him for what he has accomplished. He was suppose to get the priesthood last week, but I was sick so I didn't go to church. I'm glad he waited for me cause I really wanted to be there for that. It was awesome. Now all I have to do is get a temple divorce and we can be sealed. We are both looking forward to that day. On another note, Monday was our 2 year anniversary and we both agreed that it seems like that we've been married longer than that. I think that's a good thing. I'm so glad that I found him and that he made our little family complete. We still have some kinks for work out, but who doesn't? We got to spend the night at the hotel and sleep in, which was great! Anyway, we had a great time and I'm looking forward to many more years!

Interesting Weekend

So I've been so excited for the past few months because I bought tickets to the Kenny Chesney's Poets and Pirates Tour. I love going to concerts but I haven't been to one in a long time. Brian and I both like all kinds of music, but we both love most country music. I asked off work months ago so I worked Friday and the concert was on Saturday. My throat was killing me on Friday at work and so I got Strep test done. Of course it came positive. I called the doctor and got meds and went home and went to bed. I was trying to talk myself into feeling better. By the time Friday night came around Brian was trying to call around and sell the tickets. No takers. So Saturday morning came and he was then calling to see if we could just give them to somebody! Still nobody could go. Who wouldn't want to see Kenny for free? So I got up and took a shower and told myself I was going to be ok. I didn't want to waste $200. It's a 3.5 hour ride to where the concert was and it started at 3:30pm. I tried to sleep most of the way up there and when we got there I was feeling ok. Then the concert started and a girl was singing that I didn't know and then Gary Allen sang, who I didn't know his name, but I knew his songs. Then Sammy Heagar started and that was it for me . I went a slept in the car so I would make it to the end. I missed Keith Urban but I got to see most of Kenny Chesney and he was awesome even though I was out of it. We had to leave early cause I got sick to my stomach and almost didn't make it to the bathroom. I'm sure I looked drunk so I guess I just fit in with everyone else. Brian almost got in a fight cause towards the end we traded our floor tickets for higher ones and these drunk people were dancing and almost kicked me and they were blocking our view. Security asked them several times to move and then the last time Brian had enough and yelled at them. Then of course the drunk guy had to get in his face. Anyway, I guess nobody got hurt so that was good. I didn't feel like bailing anyone out of jail so I told Brian that if he got into a fight he was going to spend the night in jail and I'll go to a hotel! Brian did have to tackle a guy when he was walking me to the car. He was apparently running away from security so Brian decided to help. It brought back good memories for him when he worked in Security. It wasn't quite the experience I was looking for, but I guess I'll always remember it!
